Pay phones work with a telephone card, which can be purchased at newsstands, kiosks, tourist information desks, drugstores, shopping malls among other places.

Long-Distance Calls
To place a long-distance call, refer to the list of cities integrating the National Network. If the city you want to call is on the list, you can make a direct call from your phone. In case the city does not integrate the National Network, the phone call will be made according to the instructions for Long-Distance Calls (0800 31 3131).

In case you don't have the telephone number you want, dial 0 + code of telephone service provider + Area Code + 121.

Direct Long-Distance Calls
0 (national code) + code of telephone service provider + area code + telephone number.

Direct International Call (DDI)
00 (International Code) + code of telephone service provider + code of the country + area code + telephone number.

International Calls Through Telephone Operator
International calls through the telephone operator must be requested when the country to be called is not part of the International Code.
