• Always carry with you some identification photographs. They can be useful for any new id or card you might have to obtain, so that you can have access to services such as free transportation for elderly people, admission to sports centers in the city, among others. • Keep your traveler checks separated from their purchase receipt. Make two copies of the latter, as well as copies of your passport (first page and visa), airline tickets, hotel and car rental vouchers. Take one copy with you and leave the other home or in the hotel’s safe. In case of losing the original you will have the correct numbers of the documents when you report the fact to authorities and institutions. • Don’t forget to put tags on your luggage, informing your name, address, home and hotel phone numbers. • Put the tags both inside and onto your luggage, and wrap them with a yellow tape, so they can be easily identified upon your arrival at the airport. |
